Does prime theory provide scope for constructs such as thought-action fusion, which has been implicated in the motivation to act on thoughts in OCD for example?

Good question. I don't know the literature on it but I have looked at it and suggest that the focus looks to be firmly located in the level of evaluations (beliefs) with what might be considered a maladaptively strong censorial moral tendency. There is an important empirical question concerning whether the censorial belief system (that thinking something is as bad as doing it and that thinking something makes it happen) arises from lower level motivational dispositions and then amplifies them or whether it is in itself an important modifiable driver.
